Hey everyone, I recently made a post asking for suggestions on where to start for a PC build. I'm trying to upgrade from a 27" 5k iMac to a very powerful gaming PC. Someone on this sub helped put the build together, and I made a couple changes based on my wants/needs. Two main things I'm looking to make sure of before I buy this:. Pc builds reddit

(7800x3d, 7900 xt / 4080 Super) $2000-2500 will get you a "almost as good as money can buy." Yes. Since this is a gaming build, get the 7700X instead (or hold out until January for the 7800X3D, or whatever they'll call it). 6-cores are fine, so 8-cores ought to be fine for Unreal Engine 5 games coming starting in 2023. If the 4090 is anything like the 3090, you'd paying a $600-700 premium for 10% more performance. That makes $100 for DDR5 seem like a bargain.
